|Making A Purchase|
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept Amex, debit and credit cards as well as PayPal. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may call us on 0141 552 7722 and place an order over the phone.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
|Shipping And Handling|
We only ship within the UK.
We aim to email any products ordered within 2 hours (during office hours). We dispatch physical products the same business day using Royal Mail or a courier service.
Postcode Map products are dispatched directly from our supplier Geoplan and should arrive within 2-5 business days.
Email orders: We aim to process and email within 2 hours (during our business hours).
Postal orders: We will normally send your order to you in 1 business days. We do NOT ship Internationally sorry. Postcode maps are supplied directly from our supplier and can take 2-5 days.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added (Digital products). All other orders are VAT free (Paper Maps).
|Credit Card Security|
When you shop online, you can choose PayPal when paying for your items. You'll be asked to log into your PayPal account using your email address and password. Click to confirm your payment and then you're done.

In summary we never receive or store your credit card details when you use PayPal to make a purchase via this site.
If you are concerned about passing your payment details online, the new HSBC Secure ePayments system will put your mind at ease because of these features: -
1) Once you have entered your address details at the checkout, you will be transferred to the HSBC Secure ePayments secure website to enter your payment card details. Authorisation of your transcation is decided in seconds while you are online.
2) The HSBC Secure ePayments system incorporates the MasterCard "MasterCard SecureCode" and Visa "Verified by Visa" security systems. When you enter your card details, a pop-up box will appear from your bank asking you for your password. If you do not enter the correct password, no authorisation will be given for your purchase, making credit card fraud virtually impossible.
Please note: Although we believe that this system greatly improves the security of your credit cards, you are still able to order from us in the same way as before without signing up to these programmes. However, we do believe that this is a great way to protect your credit cards from fraudulant abuse.
3) No one else can see your payment details, not even ourselves. We are simply instructed by HSBC that an authorisation has been approved, at which point we send the watch to you for next working day delivery.
4) Once your order has been approved, this does not mean that we have taken your payment. The approval is for a "PreAuthorisation" only and we do not "PostAuthorise" your payment until the items are packed and ready for despatch.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive for physically supplied products (eg products that we post):
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
Digital supplied products under the EU Distance Selling Directive (eg products by email):
Downloads of mapping or data fall under the same category as electronic books or music downloaded from any website, or the purchase of ring tones and screen savers for mobile phones - these examples constitute services rather than goods as the consumer does not receive physical goods. The right to cancel are therefore those that apply to services.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
